Post-Classic and Semi-Modern Issues
1934 "Pro-Universidad" 1c. to 10p., complete set of ten specimens in full sheets of 50, each n.h. with "muestra" perfin, and the 1c. to 50c. values being imperforate. Each sheet displays two stamps in the corners canceled by a "Secretaría de Hacienda - Inspección Fiscal" cachet in blue, numbered at the top where it also displays the "prueba muestra a.e.a.l." imprint. The 1p. has several separated perforations at right, of little consequence, and most sheets have small areas where the gum was not applied, which is not an imperfection and is mentioned for accuracy. An extraordinary and unique rarity of Mexican semi-modern philately; this is the first time we see these stamps imperforate (1c. to 50c.). Scott $375,000 for the normal perforated set n.h. as singles.
