1883 (Oct.) French soldier's envelope from Mexico to France, bearing imperforate 20c. Blue and perf. 10c. Yellow, tied by "CEM F" lozenges, showing corresponding "Corps Exp Mexico F" c.d.s. (October 24), manuscript note stating "Tlalpan October 22, 1863" and red "P.D." alongside, Paris transit and arrival on reverse. A very rare cover. Spink Maury 15, 25.
