Various Districts Balance of a powerful collection comprising 172 stamps, mostly used, eight attractive covers, and two cover fronts in a stockbook arranged by district, including Aguascalientes, Campeche, Córdova, Guaymas, Isla del Carmen, Mazatlán (with unusual three-color piece), Maravatío, Victoria, and Tula, among others. All denominations and periods represented, including one 3c.. (with faults), 24 ½r. (two brown, one with tear but rare), ten 4r. and four 8r. Many suboffices and small towns represented, including Paso del Macho, Guaymas, Hermosillo, Silao, Pénjamo, Piedra Gorda, Irapuato, Altotonga, Papantla, Teocaltiche, Lagos, Encarnación, Pátzcuaro, Huajuapan, Tehuantepec, Tlaxiaco, Nochistlán, San Felipe, Celaya, Iturbide, San Juan del Río, Matehuala, Salinas, Tula, Venado, Río Verde, Tejupilco, Temascaltepec, Tlalpujahua, Sultepec, Alvarado, and Ojo Caliente. Condition is very good, with mostly three/four-margin stamps and vibrant colors. Highlights include 2r. Toluca quadrille proof, Colima 1r. used block of 4r. (NF $250). Covers include Matamoros 2r. with manuscript cancel, 5r. front to Paris, 2r. Tlalpujahua, 2r. Toluca paircanceled in Villa del Valle, attractive 2r. San Felipe, and 2r. Salinas with manuscript cancel, among others. Scott 18-25, $5,498 as off-cover stamps.
