1864 "Eagles" Issue
Zacatecas ½r. to 4r., an assembly comprising 72 stamps from all five periods, with many consignments represented and sub-offices such as Fresnillo and Sombrerete. Some duplication and occasional small faults are present; however, the overall condition is very good, with many stamps exhibiting clear margins all around or preserving three sides. Accompanying this lot are three covers, including one featuring a 2r. Yellow from the uncommon 1st Period, and another bearing a very rare sub-consignment (#35-1865 from consignment 59-1865 to Rincón de Romos, which may be unique). Scott 21-24; $503 as singles., ,
