1856 Issue
Various Districts Group of five covers and five stamps off cover from Durango, Lagos, and Córdova districts. Durango features three covers, including one with three singles of 1r. from Durango to Mexico City, a combination of 1r. and two ½r. with dramatic red cancel from Peñón Blanco to Durango, and a 4r. bisect used from Gavilanes to Durango; one Córdova cover from Huatusco to Puebla bearing one 2r.; and an entire letter with two ½r. pairs from Lagos to "wherever he is found to be." The stamps off cover are all ½r. and comprise a Guanaceví pair (margins all around), an Encarnación single (cut into at left), and a Lagos pair on piece (cut into at right and left). Several originating from the Mazepa collection. Scott 1, 2, 4a; NF $733 as singles off cover.,
