1856 Issue
Guadalajara Group of four attractive covers (one entire), each with outstanding, well-struck cancels. Two covers bear ½r. Blue pairs: one from Talpa to Sayula, dated June 6, 1857 (three good margins, slightly cut into at right), and another from Tepic to Guadalajara with a red cancel dated December 27, 1856. Also included is a 2r. Green from Tuxpan, mailed in Cd. Guzmán to Guadalajara, dated November 18, 1857, featuring a spectacular ribbon cancel (three good margins, slightly cut into at right; tear on one interior flap). The last cover has a 1r. Yellow pair, cut into at right and bottom right, from Hostotipaquillo to Guadalajara, dated February 16, 1858, and signed by G. Lamy. Scott 1-3.
