1856 Issue
Ciudad Bravos ½r. Blue, four singles showing clear to ample margins, on February 24, 1857 entire letter from Chilpancingo to Puebla, cancelled with Ciudad de Bravos handstamp. To our knowledge, a unique cover exhibiting this value, a significant rarity of the "Hidalgo" issue, as Ciudad Bravos was an active district post office for a very short period of time. Sold for €9,000 in a 2002 Afinsa auction (lot #22). 2024 MEPSI certificate. Scott 1; NF $14,000 for stamps as singles off cover.
