1843 "Bulls Eyes"
Taubaté (SP). 60r. black, an early-impression example with ample balanced margins on all sides, cancelled by "taubate/C" negative circular handstamp, with part of "marianna" straight line (Ayres 1153). Some light thinning of no importance for this rarity. Of the only four 'Bull's Eyes' known with this negative cancellation, this is the sole example recorded in red. Additionally, any negative postmark is exceedingly scarce on "Bull's Eyes", and this holds further rarity due to the presence of the Mariana postmark, of which only about ten are known -furthermore, the combination of two postmarks, neither originating from one of the largest cities, is very scarce.-.
