1843 "Bulls Eyes"
Niterói (RJ). 60r. black, a phenomenal example from position 3 with large margins, and a spectacular 90 reis showing large to enormous margins and originating from position 18 in the pane, each displaying one or two marginal lines, clearly tied to piece by "cidade/de/nictheroy" handstamp in black (Ayres 1371). The excellent combination of the fresh, rare positional stamps and the clear application of the cancellation makes this one of the most attractive examples of this rare combination franking. A wonderful exhibition item. RHM 1, 3. Photo
