1843 "Bulls Eyes"
Capivary (RJ). 60r. black, an impressive example from the top of the sheet, showing an early impression and good to huge margins, used with a very good strike of framed "capivari" handstamp in green (Ayres 1261). Minor thinning and creasing not detracting. The finest of only two examples recorded, further enhanced by the exceedingly scarce usage of green cancellations on "Bull's Eyes"; one of the most spectacular usages in this issue. RHM 2. Photo
