60r. black, a very fresh example displaying large to very large even margins, showing outer frame line at top, cancelled by "correio geral da corte/1 18-43 8" datestamp struck on the first day of issue. Minor thinning and creasing not detracting from the superb appearance. A fine example of this highly desirable first-day-of-issue usage, of which only seven examples are recorded, including five 60r. and two 90r., holding great significance in worldwide philately as the earliest known outside the United Kingdom.
