A collection of Waterlow and Sons samples affixed to ledger pages and housed within original, custom cases (4), each containing a folder with Waterlow and Sons papered ends; two green folders contain British Empire Exhibition stamps overprinted "aa" to "el1", "fa" to "lb" and blue folder containing "waa" to "wkb", additional green folder containing St. Paul's die stamps over printed "aa" to "v370", the stamps all singles or vertical strips up to five, also maroon folder titled "standard colours for photogravure stamps / waterlow & sons limited, london wall e.c.2." with man on lion designs overprinted "pg100" to "pg132", mostly in blocks of four or smaller. A charming original group with many hundreds of these printers sample stamps enclosed.
