A137, dated 1841 (6 Jan.), cancelled by neat black Maltese Cross with adjacent 'Charing Cross' straight line cancel and signed by Francis Baring, showing on the reverse despatch c.d.s. Also an entire front cancelled by attractive crowned free (9.4.36) c.d.s. and showing Baring signature. Mixed condition, the Mulready with some faults though an interesting duo.

Notes:
Francis Baring was Chancellor of the Exchequer from 1839 to 1841.
