1898 (21 March) soldier's unstamped envelope "From No 6048 Private Hill Grenadier Gds" at Suakin to a fellow Private in Cairo, marked "Army of Occupation", not completed and so charged with 1889-1907 Egypt 2m. Postage Dues (2), one bisected; also 6 Sept. and 13 Aug. soldier's envelopes, the former unstamped from Colour Sergeant J.G. Williams, 1st Grenadier Guards, Khartoum to London marked "No stamps available. Nile Expedition. Khartoum" with Atbara d.s., boxed "t" and "1d./f.b." handstamps, the latter bearing 5m. tied by Atbara d.s. from Private B. Chaney, Queen's Company, 1st Grenadier Guards, "Nile Expeditionary Forces. Soudan" to Manchester. A scarce trio.
