1858 (12 July) entire letter headed "Antigua" but probably written from English Harbour, addressed to London, rated "6", showing fine bluish "southampton/packet letter" c.d.s. (8.3) as carried as a "loose letter" inside the Captain's bag with arrival datestamp (8.3) on reverse. Believed to be the only recorded example of this marking from Antigua. Photo

Note: A letter to this London firm in the same hand is known for 12 April 1858 showing Crowned circle "paid/at/english harbour"
