4c. black on rose-carmine, No. 4 in the block, good to large margins, initialled "E.D.W." and cancelled by Demerara double-arc d.s. for 17 October 1856; pressed central horizontal crease and a corner crease at top right. One of the finest known examples of this very rare stamp, of which just fewer than twenty are recorded, and these are mainly plagued by imperfections. Friedl (1977) and Holcombe (1985) Certificates.
