12c. black on blue Type ?, initialled "E.W.D."?, cut round with circular frameline intact, centrally cancelled by partly heavy Demerara double-arc d.s. for 23 March 1851; pressed vertical crease at the right, otherwise fine, this being clearly a minor imperfection for this stamp, which is often found with more significant faults. This example exhibits clear margins, which are very rarely encountered for this value and, in addition, features an exceptionally well-centered cancellation. Friedl Certificate (1968).
