The "Caspary" and "Isleham" Cut Square 4 Cents
4c. black on orange Type A, initialled "E.D.W.", cut square, fine clear impression and rich colour, margins all round except circular frame slightly cut into at left, tied on small piece by Demerara double-arc d.s. for November 1851, lifted and hinged in place, tiny thin spots. A very attractive example of this great rarity, which is remarkably difficult to obtain cut square. A highly desirable gem of this issue. S.G. 2I, £100,000. Photo
