1937-1952 A superb impression in red wax of the Great Seal of the Realm that is used to symbolise the Sovereign's approval of state documents. The King is depicted seated on Edward I's chair on Coronation day, the obverse shows him on horseback, with Latin wording along the border of each side. "George VI, by the grace of God of Great Britain, Ireland and the Lands across the sea which are in the British Dominion, Defender of the Faith, / George VI by the grace of God, King".
