India Royal Visit 1905-06
Royal presentation cigarette case, with separate vesta compartment and tinder cord, the enamel cypher of Prince George, Prince of Wales at the top right, in the original green leather fitted case with the Prince of Wales's feathers in gilt on the outer lid. Engraved within "Presented to Mr J. Faletti by His Royal Highness the Prince of Wales as a souvenir of the Royal Tour throughout India and Burma 1905-1906". John Faletti ran the United Service Club in Shimla and organised the catering for the Tour. He later bought the renowned Cecil Hotel in Shimla.
Silver hallmark for 1904 London, Collingwood & Co, royal warrant holders within the fitted case (4x5")
