Indian decorative silver cigarette case with a contemporary note inside "Xmas 1906. This cigarette case was presented to me by Major General Sir Pertab Singh, Prince of Idar, who was the King's Native Aide-de-Camp at the time of the Coronation in London". Sir Pertab Singh (1845-1922) was a highly decorated British Indian Army officer. This attractive item was possibly given by him to a member of the entourage accompanying the Prince and Princess of Wales to India (4x2 inches)
