1953 The collection of Mr N.C. Stibbs who attended the Coronation with his wife, officially representing the City of Nelson, British Columbia, of which he'd been Mayor. Included are the official invitation and admission tickets to Westminster Abbey from the Earl Marshal, regulations and instructions as to dresss, afternoon garden parties and other events. Invitations from the High Commissioner of Canada, Agent General for British Columbia, Luncheon guest list for delegates from the Canadian Federation, letters from the Dept of the Secretary of State at Ottawa advising Canadian representatives of arrangements in London and dress requirements. "Mr St-Laurent intends to wear evening dress with white tie, and Mrs St-Laurent will wear an evening dress".
