1953 Printer's Colour Proofs of the Invitation Card to the Coronation. A set of six colour trials, all with the embossed seal of the Earl Marshal. The adopted colour in blue has the printer's ink notation suggesting that it was "first class work". The other colours, not adopted are black, sepia, dark brown, red orange and purple. Together with the official invitation card printed on a stiff paper card, unlike the colour trials printed on a lighter weight paper. A rare and important group (7)
