1831 Admission ticket through the West Door, Westminster Abbey to the Coronation of King William IV and Queen Adelaide, unusually signed "William R" by the King at the top right, with an impression in red wax of the Royal seal.. Issued to Vice Admiral Sir Henry Blackwood (1770-1832), who held several commands during the Napoleonic wars. In 1830 he was appointed Groom of the Bedchamber to the King. (laid down on card, trimmed at the foot, two vertical folds); together with an unused admission card of the same design, showing the impressive cyphers of the King and Queen, and a copy of the Form and Order of the Service, reprinted in 1837 (3)
