1896 (15 Feb..) commercial envelope registered from German East Africa to Germany, showing framed "tangajini" d.s. over which the original franking was affixed and now missing. In their place 2a. and 2a.6p. affixed and cancelled by Mombasa squared-circle d.s. (30.3) with red manuscript "Recd with stamps removed, 6.4.96" (applied in Aden?) alongside, the reverse with fine strike of despatch d.s., Aden (6.4) and arrival datestamps; the envelope with some minor peripheral faults.
