Salmon River & Nez Perces, Paid 50 Cents (Haller WF-076) printed three-line inscription associated with Wells Fargo & co. paid frank (Haller WF-E) , a surcharge which probably does not identify a separate express company, but a special and hazardous Wells, Fargo route instead, on 3c. pink on buff entire (U35) from Portland addressed to Oregon city cancelled by Wells, Fargo blue oval d.s. Salmon River and Nez printed inscription cut out and re-pasted, still of nice appearance and a scarce cover.
