1859 (1 Sep.) envelope from Bedford addressed to Saul Solomon, Cape Town bearing 1855-63 4d. with close to large margins, cancelled by triangular obliterator; the reverse with arrival (8.9) handstamp in red. Usual minor imperfections though of fine appearance.

S. Solomon was a politician, he was an important member of the movement for responsible government.
