1854-56 duo including 1854 (22 Dec.) envelope (with letter) ex the Gibbon correspondence to Aberdeen, rated "1/10", showing framed "india" in red and mainly fine "thayetmyo/post office" double-ring d.s. (Type D1). 1856 (18 Sept.) envelope ex the Gibbon correspondence to Aberdeen, marked "via Marseilles", rated "1/-, showing slightly oily "thyetmyo/p.o." double-ring d.s. (Type D3) and framed "india" in red with Calcutta transit datestamp on reverse. Usual mixed condition, though a scarce pair.
