1579 (8 Aug.) entire letter from Bartholomew Martin in Paris to Philippo Corsini in London, endorsed with "payez le port" (recipient to pay), with remarkable contents (translated) "I have received your last letter by this carrier, a new postboy named Jacques de Paincteur, whom I commend to you.". Very fine with intact wax seal. Also 1600 (23 Aug.) entire letter from Benedetto Massei in Paris to Bartolomeo Corsini in London endorsed "pt" and with waybill number "48", very fine and a scarce rating.
