From Ireland
1591 (27 May) entire letter from Guglielmo Petala in Dublin "To the worshipful Mr. Phillie Corsini, leave this at the Condett in gracioustreate, London", reading "I wrote on the 18th, by the hand of John Bolton, the friend of John Hall. Interview with 'My Lord', whom I found reading a letter from Her Majesty. Discussion about a large grain shipment. Possible despatch from Limerick, Kinsale, or Cork. Promblems about a letter of credit for Thomas Bishop, made by Robert Currs; it does not seem convenient for me to travel carrying money in this country.". Some very minor paper faults otherwise fine and a hugely significant letter being one of only eleven recorded from Ireland ex the Corsini correspondence. Photo
