Victoria (1837-1901), Groat, 1838, young head left, rev. Britannia seated right, edge straight milled, 1.89g, 12h (ESC 1930; Bull 3319; S.3913), toned and lustrous, uncirculated, a delightful and curious coin struck at the instigation of MP Joseph Hume, giving rise to its colloquial nickname of a 'Joey'; additionally, Threepence, 1884, Type A4, as before, rev. crowned value dividing date in wreath, edge plain, 1.42g, 6h (ESC 2091; Bull 3426; S.3914C), cabinet toned and lustrous, good extremely fine and much as struck, an unusual 'incongrous' issue for it bears an early bust variety ceased in 1879, but re-employed for this sole year alone, curious and attractive thus!; lastly, Threehalfpence, 1862, as before, plain edge, 0.70g, 6h (ESC 2261; Bull 3473; S.3915), toned and lustrous, uncirculated, struck for use in the West Indies (3)
