George II (1727-1760), Young Head Halfpennies (4), 1730, young laureate and cuirassed bust left, rev. Britannia seated left, edge plain, 9.31g, 6h (BMC [Peck] 836; S.3717), some staining, very fine; another, 1730, with the 'GEOGIVS' Error, reading GEOGIVS • II • REX • [sic], as before, edge plain, 9.81g, 6h (BMC [Peck] 837; S.3717), even chocolate patina, only fine, very rare; also, Halfpenny, 1734, as first, edge plain, 9.37g, 6h (BMC [Peck] 847; S.3717), defaced and historically cleaned, legible but poor; lastly, 1734 over 3, as before, edge plain, 9.43g, 6h (BMC [Peck] 846; S.3717), minor edge bruising, otherwise fine or marginally better; additionally, 'Old Head' Halfpenny, 1745, old laureate and cuirassed bust left, rev. Britannia seated left, edge plain, 10.02g, 6h (BMC [Peck] 875; S.3718), some deposits, with uniformly dark brown surfaces, a really bold very fine; furthermore, Young Head Farthings (2), 1731, as first, edge plain, 4.80g, 6h (BMC [Peck] 858; S.3720), corroded, struck details fair to fine; another, 1737, 'Large Date', as last, edge plain, 4.59g, 6h (BMC [Peck] 867; S.3720), rubbed with verdigris deposits, fine; lastly, 'Old Head' Farthings (2), 1744, as the fifth, edge plain, 3.76g, 6h (BMC [Peck] 886; S.3721), very fine, and residually lustrous with striking cabinet bluish toning; lastly, 1754, 'Narrow Date', as last, edge plain, 4.92g, 6h (BMC [Peck] 892; S.3722), near very fine, with similar 'Fuller Cabinet' patination (9)
