George II (1727-1760), 'Plumes' Sixpence, 1728, young laureate, draped and cuirassed bust left, rev. four crowned shields cruciform, plumes in angles, eight strings to harp, six hearts, edge obliquely milled, 2.99g, 6h (ESC 1605; Bull 1738; S.3706), some adjustment marks on cheek and the centre of the Garter Star struck soft, otherwise pleasantly cabinet toned and lustrous, good very fine
