Anne (1702-1714), Pre-Union, Welsh 'Plumes' Crown, 1705 QVINTO, first draped bust left, rev. four crowned shields cruciform, plumes in angles, seven strings to harp, downwards lettered edge, 29.96g, 7h (Hopetown House 350; Pywell-Phillips 211; ESC 100; Bull 1341; S.3577), beautiful, uniform gunmetal tone with underlying lustre and purplish-blue hues, a SPECTACULAR example of this key date, good extremely fine, and truly choice, extremely rare thus
