James II (1685-1688), Crown, 1687 TERTIO, second laureate and draped bust left, rev. four crowned shields cruciform, seven strings to harp, upwards large lettered edge, 29.99g, 6h (ESC 79; Bull 745; S.3407), lightly flecked with hints of Mint adjustment to flan, otherwise an OUTSTANDING coin even for this more frequently encountered date, the planchet razor-sharp and fully cartwheel lustrous and further accentuated by scintillating neon-blue peripheral hues, choice FDC, very rare thus
