Charles II (1660-1685), Crown, 1663 XV, first draped and laureate bust right, no rose below bust, no stop above, rev. stop after HIB, crowned shields cruciform, eight strings to harp, dated and downwards lettered edge, 29.58g, 6h (ESC 22; Bull 353; S.3354), unsightly scratches above head, otherwise a superior coin, uniformly and boldly struck up for issue, accentuated by rich and colour even cabinet toned overlying lustrous original fields, almost extremely fine, and very seldom encountered in this laudable state
