CHRISTO· AVSPICE· REGNO, square shield over long cross fleury, 0.95g, 6h, i.m. crown [on obverse only] (ESC 2161; Bull 275; North 2770; S.3310), doubled to reverse, otherwise darkly cabinet toned, a pleasing very fine, scarce; another, Second Hammered Issue, Machine-Made Twopence, c. 1660-1662, Tower, initial mark crown both sides, ·CAROLVS · II · D : G : M : B : F : ET · H : REX · crowned and armoured bust left with long hair and falling lace collar, mark of value behind bust, no inner circle, rev. · CHRISTO · AVSPICE · REGNO · square shield over long cross fleury, no inner circle, 0.96g, 6h, m.m. crown (ESC 2167; Bull 582; S.3317), light cabinet tone overlying lustrous surfaces, colourfully so behind crown, a pleasing very fine or better, scarce thus (2)
