CAROLVS : D : G : MAG : BRIT : FRAN : ET • HIB : REX • crude Equestrian Portrait of King trotting left, brandishing upright sword, sash flies behind, larger plume behind, lumpy ground, rev. •:• EXVRGAT • DEVS • DISSIPENTVR • INIMICI, RELIG : PRO LEG | ANG : LIBER : PAR in two lines, three even plumes flanked by pellets above, small •1•6•4•6• and medium •OX• below, 14.806g, 4h, i.m. plume (Morrieson C-3; Brooker 922 same dies; Bull 633/3; North 2433; S.2961), small striking fissure to planchet, otherwise attractively lustrous with superlative-inducing neon-blue and rich cabinet tone, the Equestrian portrait delightfully struck up and considerably above average for series, a pleasing and bolder very fine, rare in this exemplary state
