REX • crowned and armoured "Aberystwyth" bust left, wearing falling lace collar, plume with band before, XII behind, rev. (m.m.) CHRISTO • AVSPICE • REGNO • oval-garnished shield, surmounted by plume with band, plain harp, 5.906g, 2h, m.m. book (Morrieson C-2; Brooker 754-755; North 2331; S.2883), some overt striking splits, otherwise a splendidly uniform example with attractive underlying lustre a pleasant grey cabinet tone, a really bold very fine, and equally scarce
