James I (1603-1625), Third Coinage, Sixpences, Tower (3), 1621 (2), (m.m.) IACOBVS D : G : MAG • BRI : FRA : ET HIB : REX • sixth crowned and armoured bust right, VI behind, rev. (m.m.) QVÆ DEVS CONIVNXIT NEMO SEPARET, square-topped shield, bird-headed harp, 2.871g, 4h, m.m. rose (North 2126; S.2670), surface marks and rub to portrait, otherwise darkly cabinet toned, colourfully so to reverse, fine to almost very fine for strike; another, similar, struck from 9 June 1621, 2.871g, 1h, m.m. thistle (North 2126; S.2670), rubbed, otherwise on a full round flan, colourfully retoned, a really bold fine to almost very fine; lastly, 1624, as first, 2.634g, 2h, m.m. trefoil (North 2126; S.2670), crimped and clipped, otherwise darkly cabinet toned, struck details bolder than fine to almost very fine (3)
