Elizabeth I (1558-1603), Seventh Issue, Sixpence, 1602, Tower, 1 : ELIZAB .' D .' G .' ANG .' FR .' ET • HIB .' REGI .' beaded inner circles, larger crowned and draped bust 6C left, large rose with stamen filaments behind, rev. 1 : POSVI DEV .' AD-IVTORE-M • MEV .' beaded inner circles, square-topped shield over long cross fourchée, large 16-02 above shield, 2.668g, 7h, m.m. 1 (BCW 1-1/1-c; North 2015; S.2585), an historic scratch before nose to top of crown, otherwise colourfully retoned with some edge raggedness, very fine / fine or marginally bolder, the portrait most pleasingly uniform, a very rare calendar year - pyx-mark muling, and struck in Gloriana's last full Regnal year on the throne
