Richard III (1483-1485), Groat, Type 3, London, (m.m.) RICARD 'x DI 'x GRA 'x REX ANGL x Z x FRANC, crowned bust facing, in double-tressure of nine arches, fleurs on cusps excepting above crown, pellet in spandrel beneath breast, rev. CIVITAS LONDON, long cross and trio of pellets in angles, 2.703g, 2h, m.m. halved sun-and-rose (North 1680; S.2158), slightly clipped, otherwise richly cabinet toned, almost very fine, a classic collectible from the reign of the resurfaced 'Car Park King'
