G F Crowther, Numismatic Chronicle [Third Series, Volume XI, 1891], Type XIV; SCBI 11 [Reading/Stockholm], 638 same obverse die; SCBI 24 [West Country], 1000 same reverse die; Winchester Mint 2049, dies Ae [13/2 Listed]; North 850 [Crown 3]; BMC VIII, 1109 same dies [Beauworth]; S.1257), subtly crimped and die-capped, otherwise of excellent metal, with light toning overlying lustrous fields, extremely fine and truly much as issued, rare thus, and struck from an obverse die shared with a contemporary moneyer of the mint Godwine
