When the distributors sent out the 35 mm print of the film to cinemas this piece accompanied the synopses.

This British biographical film is about aviator Douglas Bader, and is based on the biography of the same name by Paul Brickhill, published in 1954. The film was directed by Lewis Gilbert, who went on to direct, amongst other projects, Alfie and three Bond films. The stars include Kenneth More, Muriel Pavlow and Lyndon Brook. The film's score was composed by John Addison, who himself came from a military family, and was Bader's brother-in-law. The film won the BAFTA Award for Best British Film in 1956.

Excellent condition, colours remaining very bright, very minor restoration to a couple of small surface marks.
