1c. vermilion (8), two vertical strips of three, one with good to large margins and the other just touched in a few places, and a horizontal pair with huge margins, tied to double-rate letter from William's Town to Water Street, Georgetown, tied by nine strikes of 'demerara' c.d.s. (21 Sept. 1855), part of address panel missing, some wear to the entire and some creasing affecting a few of the adhesives, of little importance for this spectacular franking, the highest known bearing this stamp; a superb exhibition item.
