1c. black on magenta, an outstanding horizontal pair with large to very large margins and part sheet margin at left, used on piece with two neat almost complete strikes of 'demerara' double-arc datestamp (2 Sept. 1853) and with a further strike alongside, very faint vertical crease affecting the right stamp, no surface rubbing as so often found; the finest known pair.
