1840-1941, an old time mint and used collection hinged to pages in a red 'Utile' album including 1840 2d. blue (3), one of unused appearance, the other two used, all with four margins, 1841 2d. blue used (2), 1854-69 2d. used, 1841-53 1d. red-brown mint with huge margins, and used (8), perforated 1d. (30+), 1870 ½d. plate 13 mint (2), 5 and 15 used, 1½d. mint (2) and used, embossed 1/-, 10d. and 6d.; a range of used surface printed including 1855-57 4d., all watermarks, 6d. (2), 1/- (2), 1862-64 4d. shades, two with hair lines, 6d. (3), one with hair lines, 9d. bistre, both 1/- shades, 1865-67 6d. both shades, 9d. straw and 1/- (wing margin), 1867-80 values to 2/- with 10d. neatly cancelled, 1873-83 10/- blued paper, 1872-73 6d. shades, 1873-80 values with 1/- orange-brown, large garter 4d. all three colours and 8d., 1883-84 white paper 2/6d., 5/- and 10/-, both £1 brown-lilacs, 1883 or 84 set, 1887 Jubilee set to £1; King Edward VII values to £1, both printings; mint King George V issues with Downey head and side face shades including 2½d. identified by collector as indigo-blue and Prussian blue, De La Rue 2/6d. shades (4), 5/- (2), Bradbury 2/6d. (3), 5/- and 10/-, 1924-26 set including 1½d. tete-beche, 1929 P.U.C. set to £1, 1934 re-engraved seahorses; King George VI 1939 set to 10/- with dark blue marginal pair. Mixed condition though a valuable collection with much scope.
