1953 (20 Nov.) piece bearing 1953 1d. green bisected vertically with the African clerk, Alfred Mesenga, endorsing it with manuscript "½d" in red ink, initialling it "am" alongside and cancelling it with clear datestamp (Proud D4); fine and very rare with only this piece and two covers with these manuscript provisionals known.
