1905 (circa) Collective proof sheet printed at the 'Atelier des Timbres Poste' using the original cliche' from the workshop and others provided by Arthur Maury from his catalogue (France 10c. Cérès and Lombardy Venetia 3s., both retouched in the Atelier), in order to carry out ink tests as a part of research into shades for the issue of 'Semeuse' lined type stamps. Overall toning, still an interesting piece of printing history.
