1874 (18 Aug.) envelope from Rio de Janeiro addressed to Lyon, France bearing 20r.(2), 100r.(4), 200r. cancelled by mute cork cancellations, on the front marked p. Orenoque and with despatch c.d.s. The reverse with Lyon (9.11) arrival c.d.s. Envelope with part of the flap missing and some peripheral faults, stamps in mixed condition. Nevertheless a scarce double rate to France. RHM 24, 27, 28.
